On our last day in Gulf Shores, after spending some time at the beach that morning, we loaded up and headed to The Track. They had arcades, kid rides, and MULTIPLE go-kart tracks. The kids had so much fun!
The boys loved that they had tracks just for them!
This track was our favorite! It was three levels!
After spending several hours there, it was time for dinner. We had planned on going to one restaurant, but after pulling in the parking lot of said restaurant and not being impressed, the kids all asked to go back to The Hangout for dinner again!
It really is so much more than a restaurant!
As always, here is my little video recap.
Friends, this was probably our last day of “normal” for our trip. We could tell on this day things were changing… At both The Track and back at The Hangout, workers were steadily cleaning and passing out hand sanitizer. We continued to hear reports of events cancelling and, of course, about people hoarding toilet paper. (I still can’t figure that one out! Ha!) The next morning after breakfast, we headed to Baton Rouge and pretty much stayed at our hotel the entire day swimming. Things were getting weird… Sunday we went straight home!
Regardless of all the crazy that was going on, we still had such a great time! I’m glad we were able to get away even for just a bit before we had to shelter in place for several weeks.
That’s it for today!
