Every year, the week prior to Spring Break, our school celebrates National Lutheran Schools Week. Each day they are given a different prompt to dress up to. Also, every year I say I’m not going to wait until the last minute and wing it… lies! My kids are basically commercial for Amazon Prime. I wait until the very last minute and then figure out what I can prime to my house.
First up, fiesta day! I’m sure there was some catchy theme that tied fiesta to Jesus but I can’t for the life of me remember it. 🙂 You will see that it is a struggle most mornings to get a decent picture… Haha!

Kevyn’s shirt was really cute and something that she will year many times. THESE are the boys shirts and Kelby is wearing one of my shirts that I already had (similar).
Next up, Thankful Tuesday! Kevyn was thankful for Starbucks barristas, Kelby was thankful for her soccer coach, Cash was thankful for police officers, and Gage was thankful for Spiderman… *eyeroll* Clearly we just used what we could find and said we were thankful for them. #momfail

Wednesday is always chapel day and the day we celebrate Grandparents. Also, 7th graders always host a live wax museum so Kelby was a part of that this year. She chose Coco Chanel and did a great job! Each student has to study their person, write a report, and then be able to recite a short speach to guests as they come by. Guests simply tap them on the shoulder to hear the kids speak. It’s a really cute idea and all her classmates did a really well!

We borrowed everything for this project. I’m so thankful to all my friends who helped dress her and even made special trips to the Nordstrom beauty counter to ask for anything Chanel they could have.

Also on Wednesday, after chapel parents and grandparents gather in the gym to listen to our two bands and watch the younger grades PE performances.

Go Cash! Haha!

Thursday was… Shoot, I can’t remember… Let’s say it was hippie themed. I ordered two of these packs and these shirts for the boys and improvised the rest.

Friday is always spirit day and our school always goes to a local roller skating rink for the day.

They aren’t looking very confident in their skating abilities! Haha!

NLSW is always a fun way to finish up school before Spring Break (even if I struggle with getting everyone dressed up each day!).
Just for giggles, HERE is my blog post from 2012. For some reason my pictures aren’t pulling through which makes me really sad. Clearly I was way more on my game back in 2012. And here is my blog post from 2011. My girls were so little!
Boy I’m getting these posts knocked out! Hopefully I will get around to sharing our Spring Break trip this week too!
