It’s Tuesday Talk with Ashley & Erika where on the third Tuesday of each month (fourth Tuesday this month because #rona) we meet up to talk about anything and everything!
Today I want to talk about budgeting. The world is crazy right now and many of us are going to feel the impact of the pandemic financially for months. I’ve cried several times this past week thinking about the economic impact on our small community. My heart hurts, y’all.
We are among those that will be impacted financially from the coronavirus. While we are currently still considered essential healthcare, many of our patients have opted to cancel their appointments and self quarantine. I get it.
Thankfully, Jeff and I have budgeted our income for YEARS and not only do we have plenty of savings set aside, I also feel like I’m an expert now on budgeting and that I can hopefully weather through this storm fairly well.
Over the years I’ve tried several budgeting methods but we’ve solely used YNAB for about 4 years now. It’s super user-friendly, it syncs all your accounts, and it makes you acutely aware of where every dollar you spend goes. Also, the software designer might be one of the funniest people ever and I’m constantly getting a good chuckle from random one liners he’s snuck in.
Sooo… do you budget? If so, how do you do your budget? Do you use an app?
That’s it for now, friends!
