Today I’m recapping Day 3 of our Disneyland vacation! If you missed part 1 you can click HERE and you can click HERE for part 2.
Ok, so this would December 28th and the Saturday after Christmas. Y’all. Disneyland was crazy crowded! Like at one point as we were walking through the crowds with our kids, I was remembering last Christmas when we took the girls to New York and walked through Times Square with them. It was shoulder to shoulder, everyone must hold a hand crowded!
Again, we planned on getting to the park early to get that extra magic hour and I’m so happy we did! We were able to again ride several rides before it got nuts.
Here is my crew bright and early on the Jungle Cruise!

At 10:30 we had a reservation at the Plaza Inn for a character breakfast. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! The kids got to meet several characters and the food was yummy too! Plus, because our breakfast was later, the Plaza Inn was clearing out and it wasn’t crowded at all! They must have a gap in their reservation times to switch the buffet out. I’ll have to remember that for our next trip!

After breakfast we polled the family on if we wanted to wait the projected 2 hrs for the new Star Wars ride or go back to the hotel for a bit. I voted to wait in line because I wasn’t quite ready to call it a day and with it being so crowded I wasn’t sure we would be coming back to the park that night. We ended up waiting nearly 3 hours. Yuck! Because it was a new ride, they did not allow FastPasses.
I think we got back to the hotel around 3 and everyone was perfectly content hanging out there the rest of the day!
I’ve got one more day to post along with some tips on how to make Disneyland more enjoyable for the entire family. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss it!
