Halloween 2019 was a great one! It didn’t go exactly how I had planned, but it all worked out and everyone had a great time!
The day started with Gage’s Pre-K party. It is a tradition at our school that the Pre-K classes have a costume parade through the “big school” classrooms. The little kids really enjoy it and my older 3 thought it was fun to watch Gage walk through their class.
Gage is the Special Ops guy in the back row. I’ll be honest, he has no idea what he is but the costume came with weapons and he was sold! Haha!
Gage is eyeing Cash who is seated…
We ran into Kevyn who was headed to lunch!
They ended the parade back in their classroom and then had a pumpkin party!
Our evening plans didn’t go as we had planned… We had planned to decorate my trunk for our church’s Trunk-or-Treat, but we had a cold front come through and it was supposed to be really windy and cold. The thought of being stuck outside my car handing out candy for 3 hours in the cold wind really wasn’t tempting so we nixed our trunk plans. We instead just visited our church’s Trunk-or-Treat for a bit before we headed to a few houses and then later back to our house to pass out candy that we had already purchased.
This year we had a SWAT team guy, a Special Ops guy, a Hawaiian girl (our trunk was going to be Hawaiian themed), and Kelby who was headed to soccer practice. Really. She had soccer practice on Halloween. *eyeroll*
Kelby finally made it home from practice and they made her ask for candy before she could pass. Haha!
Don’t feel too bad for Kelby… She quickly changed and headed over to a friends house for a bit of trick-or-treating and a party. She and her friends dressed up as frat boys. (Ummm… ok.)
So while our Halloween didn’t go exactly as how we had planned, it turned out just perfect. All of the kids had a great time, I didn’t freeze, and the littles made it to bed at a decent time.
