But for real y’all… May is a beast!
I’ve been asked several times from others what it was like to go from 2 kids to 4. For the most part, it has been a relatively easy adjustment. That is until last week. Last week it hit me that I have 4 kids. For whatever reason, all the things seemed to fall on the second to last week of school. We had three field trips, a band concert, therapy appointments, an orthopedic appointment, and home visits. All. the. things.
So going back two weeks…
Mother’s Day this year was extra special for me. I feel so blessed that these four call me mom.
Also on Mother’s Day, we celebrated this sweet boys baptism.
I just love finding pictures like this on my phone. They melt my mama heart!
Field trip #1 was a trip to Domino’s for kindergarten!
That brace gets washed OFTEN! Haha!
G’s class was told to bring flowers to plant in their garden. His teacher sent me this.
Kelby had her spring band concert last Wednesday. We didn’t even try to get there early for a good seat so all of my pictures looked like this. Kelby told me prior she would indicate to me which songs I needed to record and which ones I shouldn’t based on her opinion of if they sounded good or not. Jeff & I got a kick out of her giving us a nod, shake, or a shrugged “meh”… She cracks me up!
Kelby and her good friend Lillie!
Funny story… Band students are required to wear khaki pants with their band shirts when they perform. I bought those pants for her when she started band in 5th grade. The last time she wore them around Christmas she had mentioned that they were too tight but I had completely forgot that she needed new pants until she was getting ready for the concert. They were so tight! Like she had a hard time getting them over her feet tight! Like I was thinking they might rip when she sat down tight! Haha! Oops! (note to self – order new pants!)
Thursday was field trip #2. It was C’s turn again and this time his class went to the Children’s Museum in Bryan! Can you see that little cutie’s face sticking out?
And Friday was field trip #3. This time it was 4th Grade and we went to NASA! Kevyn’s class was divided into smaller groups and her group consisted of 4 girls and 5 parents. At our school, parents go on ALL the field trips. We had so much fun with our group and Kevyn & I both would like to go back. There was so much to see and do!
When you’re 10, you take silly pictures in front of shuttles… Haha!
Also when you’re 10, doing the virtual reality rides are way more fun than any of the exhibits where you could possibly learn something.
We all touched the moon rock. And then we all washed our hands. Haha!
From the time we got there, these girls had their mind on one thing… Dippin’ Dots!
I thought this shirt in the gift shop was hilarious!
Saturday, Kevyn & I did some shopping in Austin. I love having one-on-one time with my kids!
Saturday night we headed over to a friends house for a crawfish boil. C took this crawfish and released it in our friends tank. Haha!
Look at G go!
This memory popped up as an Instagram memory. This right here is why I started blogging again. While this picture was only taken three short years ago, the girls have changed so much! Just look at my sweet babies!
That’s it for now folks! Tonight we have a kindergarten graduation to attend and then I need to prepare for all the last day of school busyness!
