It’s May. Which means it’s the end of the school year. Which means our evenings are filled with ALL THE THINGS. Which means life is kinda crazy right now.
First off, let me introduce Rocky. He’s the newest addition to the Cowen crew. He was my grandfather’s dog and he now lives with us. Although I was a little hesitant to move him to our house, he has absolutely been the BEST dog! We have an invisible fence and he only had to wear his collar a few days for him to learn his boundaries. He doesn’t bark and he gets along great with Snoop. He also puts up with these two…
We’ve been getting a lot of rain lately and that has brought out all the snails. G proudly brought in a handful of them to show me one morning. After I not so calmly told him to go back outside ;), I quickly snapped a pic.
Y’all… I have the best friends. We have so much fun together! We recently celebrated two friends in this group birthdays by going out together to watch the Derby! So fun! Just look at all our winnings! Haha!
We recently wrapped up Kelby’s regular soccer season. Now it’s on to tournaments. Many weekends she would play 1 to 2 games (some being up to 1.5 hrs away!) so by her ending the season it will free up a bunch of time for us. However, I will admit, come August I will be ready for her to play again. I just love watching my kids play the sports they love!
This past Monday, C had an unfortunate accident when jumping off the swing at school. While, he is totally fine, this picture cracks me up because he refused to smile for it. He knew I was going to be texting it out and he wanted some sympathy. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that he will not be put into a hard cast next week. Just the thought of how nasty a hard cast could get on a very active 5 yo boy makes me cringe! Yuck!
Thursday, Kelby’s class had a field trip to Austin to visit the Capitol and the Bob Bulluck Museum. To her surprise, she ran into her cousin who was also on a field trip to the Bob Bulluck Museum!
Last night Kevyn had her spring piano recital. She did so well! She’s been practicing really hard and I’m always so impressed by how much she improves each year. Go Kevyn!
Kevyn and another classmate both take piano lessons from the same instructor. They invited their sweet teacher to come to their recital.
The recital lasted a little longer than we were expecting but the boys did so good sitting still and listening to it all. However, it made for a late bedtime for them.
Side note, they asked Kevyn after it was over if she had won… Haha! Not a competition boys, just a recital.
Unfortunately that late bedtime made for a tough morning. I had asked them to take a picture showing their gifts for their teachers (it is the last day of teacher appreciation week) and C just wasn’t feeling it. Haha!
I hope you all have a great Friday! Or at least a better Friday than C!
